Raw food has changed my outlook on life

I had a really good look at myself about 3 months ago. I found that I was not happy with my weight, my skin was in terrible state and I was tired all the time. I tried going to a health spa with a couple of my girlfriends for the day but although I felt great while I was there when I got home that night it was all still there.

So a couple of weeks later after speaking to loads of different people I came across this book that was extolling the virtues of raw food . I didn’t really know what it was when I picked up the book but by the time I had finished reading it I was inspired.
It seems that a raw food detox can clean out years of bad food and lifestyle choices from your system. That was what I needed. So I started on the raw food detox diet that the book suggested. I had to eat no cooked food at all and drink fresh juices with plenty of water to flush toxins out of my system.

The first week was pretty intense but after a week of feeling a little rough all the time an amazing thing happened. I started to feel energised, more alive and sparkling. I became more alert and I started to not miss the cooked food. After about three weeks I stepped on the scales and realised that I had lost a little weight but the amazing thing was that I hadn’t felt hungry.

I finished the month that the book suggested and just carried right on.

It’s been about 12 weeks now and I have had a couple of cooked meals out with friends but mostly I am raw and I love it. I recommend it to anyone that wants to clean out and shape up. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
